Everybody tells you, oh, it’s going to be so hard! You are going to be in so much pain! Your body will be ruined… You will want to die. You’re going to be depressed. You’re going to be like a zombie. OR this is the greatest thing ever! You’re going to be ecstatic! This is going to be your biggest achievement. The love will overflow you in an instant…
And then you go to the maternity unit, give birth, go home and your experience is not what everyone told you. It is different. It is yours. It is not what you have expected – it’s different.
Maybe it’s just me, or maybe there are others who feel this way?
